Our Commitment to a Better Future

At LAB68, we firmly believe that business success must go hand in hand with environmental and social responsibility. For us, sustainability is not just a value, but a guiding principle that informs every strategic decision. In an environment where sustainability reporting regulations are becoming increasingly stringent, we choose to be proactive: we don’t just comply with standards, but transform them into an opportunity for innovation and growth. We believe that sustainability is a shared journey: this is why dialogue and engagement with our stakeholders are essential to defining priority ESG issues. Understanding their expectations allows us to stay aligned with an ever-evolving regulatory environment and seize new business opportunities. Therefore, thanks to dialogue with our key stakeholders, the 10 priority material issues that guide our sustainability strategy encompass all ESG areas:

The Three ESG Pillars that Guide our Approach to Sustainability:

Environment (E)

We constantly strive to minimize our ecological footprint through conscious and innovative practices. This includes:

  • Waste reduction: We implement strategies to reduce, reuse, and recycle materials across all our operations.

  • Energy efficiency: We optimize energy consumption and promote the use of renewable sources whenever possible.

  • Responsible resource management: We are committed to using natural resources efficiently and sustainably.

  • Emission reduction: We actively monitor and work to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions in the fight against climate change.

  • Sustainable packaging: We prioritize the use of recycled, recyclable, or biodegradable materials in our packaging.

ENVIRONMENTAL HIGHLIGHTS 2024

In 2024, we reaffirmed our commitment to reducing environmental impact by closely monitoring both direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions resulting from purchased energy. These metrics represent a crucial step in tracking our progress toward decarbonization.

Social (S)

We recognize our role in society and are committed to creating value for all stakeholders — including our employees, customers, suppliers, and the local community. This commitment is reflected in the following actions:

  • Fair working conditions: We ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment, promoting equal opportunities and the well-being of our employees.

  • Responsible sourcing: We work with suppliers who share our sustainability values and adhere to high ethical and environmental standards.

  • Community engagement: We support local initiatives and actively contribute to the well-being of the communities where we operate.

  • Transparency and communication: We are committed to openly communicating our sustainability progress, goals, and challenges.

SOCIAL HIGHLIGHTS 2024

Our 2024 social KPIs highlight our strong commitment to fostering a fair, inclusive, and supportive work environment—where diversity and employee well-being are essential drivers of shared growth. These values continue to guide us as we enhance our welfare initiatives and strengthen our diversity and inclusion policies.

Governance (G)

We believe in a solid and transparent governance model capable of integrating environmental and social considerations into all strategic decisions. For us, good governance is the foundation for building trust, reducing risks, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the business. This means:

  • Responsible Innovation: Investment and innovation choices are guided by ethical and sustainability principles, to create lasting value.

  • Integrated risk management: We evaluate environmental, social, and economic impacts at every stage of the decision-making process to anticipate challenges and opportunities.

  • Creating shared value: Our decisions aim to balance economic growth, planetary protection, and people’s well-being, promoting transparency and accountability.

HIGHLIGHTS GOVERNANCE 2024

In 2024, we consolidated our governance practices, focusing on transparency and accountability. KPIs measure the effectiveness of our control bodies and management policies, allowing us to foster solid business continuity over time.
